The Eastern Conference champion New York Knicks will take on the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs, with game one of the series tipping off on ABC on Wednesday, June 3. The Knicks, led by All-Star guard Jalen Brunson, are seeking the franchise’s first championship in more than half a century, while the Spurs' once-in-a-lifetime superstar Victor Wembanyama looks to become the latest in a line of San Antonio big men (David Robinson and Tim Duncan) to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy. World Cup (Fox, FS1 & FS2) – Thursday, June 11 The biggest singular sporting event globally, the World Cup, kicks off on the Fox Sports networks on Thursday, June 11, with North America hosting the tournament across 16 cities – 11 in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada. How far can the host nations of the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico go? Can Argentina, led by superstar Lionel Messi, repeat its 2022 World Cup title? The tournament will last from June 11 until the Final match on July 19. Team U.S.A. will open group play against Paraguay on Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. (CST). I Will Find You (Netflix) – Thursday, June 18 Author Harlan Coben’s latest crime drama, “I Will Find You,” premieres on Netflix on Thursday, June 18. The eight-episode miniseries finds a man, played by Sam Worthington, wrongly imprisoned for the murder of his son, who receives information that his son may still be alive. The series, created by Robert Hull and based on Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, co-stars Emmy-winner Britt Lower and Emmy-nominee Milo Ventimiglia. The Bear: Final Season (Hulu) – Thursday, June 25 Goodbye, Chef! The fifth and final season of Hulu’s chef’s kiss of a series, “The Bear,” wraps on Thursday, June 25, when the streamer drops all eight of the show’s final episodes. Will our favorite chefs – Carmy, Richie, Syd, Marcus and Tina – all get the happy endings they deserve after a hard-fought journey? Can showrunner Christopher Storer properly find an ending to his Emmy-winning story? If you want a little appetizer for the final season, the show dropped a surprise episode titled “Gary” in May that was written by Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, featuring their characters Richie and Mikey, in a flashback before the series began. Life, Larry & the Pursuit of Unhappiness (HBO/HBO Max) – Friday, June 26 Sure, you could celebrate the 250th birthday of this nation with all the rah-rah pageantry and patriotism that we’re sure to see nearly everywhere on television around July 4th, but why not also put some much-needed satire in there, too, with Larry David’s latest venture for HBO, “Life, Larry & the Pursuit of Unhappiness,” debuting Friday, June 26. The seven-episode satirical sketch comedy series will see David insert his curmudgeonly humor into historical moments throughout American history.
